My Name is Shawn Webb.  I am currently a trainer at a studio called EXL Fitness.  I am a fitness nut and I love trying new workout programs.  I am currently working towards a degree in Exercise Science as well as a minor in Entrepreneurship.  I love being fit and love spreading the desire to workout and eat right to everyone that I possibly can.  I would love your comments and questions as I keep this journal of my day to day experience with this Insanity program!  You can do anything that you set your mind too!!   1. Hi Shawn! I found your blog while googling “missing insanity workouts” (though it looks like you haven’t missed any, go figure). You’re about at the same place that I am in my workouts.

    I thought since you have some fitness knowledge you could answer a question for me. I’ve done all the workouts for insanity the first 4 weeks, but sometimes i took extra days in between. I’d miss a day, and then pick up that workout the next day, so it’s been a little longer then 4 weeks. For this past recovery week… I did some running, and I’ve done the dvd about 3 times. Am I going to get killed with the next round of DVDs? I’m in ok shape, but I’ve heard that stuff is just killer intense.

      This next round so far has been pretty tough, and I am in pretty good shape. The nice thing is, you can go at your own pace! These workouts are a lot longer than the first months and they are still cardio based, but have a little more strength building activity incorporated in them. It is pretty intense, so make sure you are well hydrated and that you are eating 1-2 hours after the workout to give your body the nutrients it needs. I highly prefer a recovery drink of some sort. Try to stay consistent with the workouts everyday if you can, it helps a lot! Good luck and let me know how it goes for you!

  2. Hi Shawn–way to go on completing your first round of Insanity. I have done the program once and about about ready to start another round, actually today!
